F A Q : Frequently Asked Questions
There is not a magic number here, truly. Refer to “Is ENOUGH for you” page and if it resonates, it’s worth an intro call - it tells me you’re likely already a ‘builder’ or you’ve already built and are looking to deplete effectively. I left corporate to ensure I didn’t need to put barriers to entry in place for anyone to have access to a plan.
As an FP Canada certificant, I am held to a set of rigorous certification and professional standards. You can find out more about FP Canada and confirm my designation HERE
Another reason I left corporate is to avoid the conflict that is growth targets. Because I don’t answer to anyone about the size of my business, I can stay hands on with every client that decides to work with ENOUGH. I may employ team members in the future that help keep things running smoothly but you can expect to work primarily with me. My commitment is to never prioritize business growth over client experience. There’s no greater moment in this work for me than when I watch a client’s shoulders relax, hear them let out the breath they’ve been holding and see the smile on their face because I’ve shown them a clear path to their ‘enough’ and I have to be in the room to see that.
This part has some quantifiable answers - if you’re interested in the long version you can check it out here. If you want the short version: households who work with a financial advisor over the long term have on average, 2.3X more investable assets than those who go it alone. It’s not just about picking the right investments but through disciplined savings, tax & financial planning, behavioural coaching, and holistic strategy. There is also personal preference at play - if having a professional on your team when it comes to your money gives you and your family peace of mind, what is that worth to you? If alone, you put some money away and hope it’s enough, but together, we build you intentional wealth that gives you confidence to live your life - which one feels better for you? It’s my job to show you the value I bring, it’s your decision from there.
You can expect some version of the classics like “When would you like to retire and what does retirement look and feel like for you?” “How do you handle your finances (saving and spending) currently?” “Do you have a pension through work?”Then you can expect some questions you may not have been asked before like: “Who and what in your life is important to you and how are those things currently reflected in your finances?” “If you woke up tomorrow knowing you had a perfectly funded retirement, what would you change in the next week?”
Quite. I, of course, do the heavy lifting in terms of the knowledge, planning, implementing and recommendations but I cannot do this alone. Working with an advisor is a two way street. If I don’t have a clear understanding of your life, your financials, what matters to you, or if I don’t know about that rental property, that you have a $50K personal loan or that you are a primary caregiver (to a child or adult), it’s really tricky to produce a valuable roadmap. The beginning of our work together will require the most from you for me to set a sturdy foundation. Keeping me posted on your life and priority updates will also be important so I can continue to deliver value all throughout your Wealth journey.
You do not! Though I’ll always choose in-person where it’s an option, I’m currently licensed to serve in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, I have a due diligence to model every major financial decision with full context. Before I can make recommendations, I will ask the hard questions and zoom out to show you the long-term impact of your options so you can make an informed decision. My investment philosophy is built on simplicity, resilience and long-term perspective. I firmly believe the long-term winner is the patient investor who holds a reasonably priced, diversified basket of investments aligned with their personal risk tolerance and then sticks to the plan, especially when it’s tough. If you want isolated advice or an advisor who tries to beat the market with constant trades based on predictions, ENOUGH is not the right partner.
